About Donnie Rollins Construction
Donnie Rollins, a local contractor, has owned and operated Donnie Rollins Construction since 1977, providing quality service and workmanship in the city of Columbus, TX and surrounding areas.
He has been involved in numerous organizations throughout the community. He has served two terms on the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In his first term he was a director, on his second term he was voted on as vice-president of the board. He previously served on the Columbus School Board of Trustees.
In 1994, Mayor Dr. Tom Hancher appointed Rollins to the Mid-Town Park Planning Committee and, once the grant was approved, he was appointed to the Mid-Town Park Task Force. Rollins was a member of the Columbus Lions Club, where he was appointed to a two-year term on the board of directors.
"I have enjoyed working with the community and, by being involved with various organizations, I feel that I have an open mind to the suggestions and concerns of the community." In 1998, Rollins received the Sam Walton Business Leader Award for recognition of his service to customers, respect for individuals and commitment to strive for excellence.
